Leeds haven’t scored in their last 3 league games so limping over the line
They have Burnley & Wolves at home so should make it 
Also have Tottenham & us away so obviously want them to win there & come to us already safe & not bothered
Getting something at Villa would be MASSIVE

Not sure why Forest staying in Europe is a good thing? If anything there fans could say likewise about us and Leeds still in the FA Cup, although our QF is the one game rather than 2 for Forest.

If they had gone out they would be maybe a bit disheartened, won with a shootout and let’s be honest that’s a good feeling isn’t it?

Would imagine they would be happy with a draw away to Spurs, and it will heap more pressure on those north Londoners rather than them, not sure we will see it, think Spurs win this one

Spurs vs Forest looks like the most nailed on draw of all time. Actually all three relegation specials look like draws again. That would be good news I reckon. 

Yeah, to get City and Villa (away) out of the way and lose no ground isn't bad. I just can't help think this Villa game is eminently winnable though given their and our respective form. Let's hope it is so.

All the starts are aligning for us to complete the great escape. 

Leeds tonight; Brentford win and they are amongst CL places….
then, I suppose Villa tomorrow have a BIG incentive. 

Liverpool losing AGAIN was helpful for us in terms of Villa's urgency and need to win tomorrow. Might mean they don't risk Tielemans just yet for example. They have what should be a piss easy run in aside from their final two matches so hopefully they are looking past us a little bit to their games after the international break.

The problem for us that may prove critical is the injury to Summerville.  Bringing him on against Brentford in the cup now looks costly.  He had a stinker for the first game in a while too .  I get why Nuno brought him on but he is the difference maker since xmas.  Taty seens to gave faded and struggling recently imo.  Pablo helps the team no doubt but seems currently to be a player that cannot score goals at this level.  

Rodgers is the one to stop so the idea of Kanye starting might work if he plays like he did against Brentford. They also have Onana in there so would help match them physically.

Yup I can't see why Forest having more European games isn't a good thing for everyone around them. More fixture congestion and more pressure on their squad, even if it's just two more matches. Sun Thur Sun Thur takes it's toll particularly when everyone else around you is just playing once a week. 

I think Porto will beat them anyway but they will at least have to take the first leg seriously. 

Palace also being still in Europe is handy for us, seen as going by the dates we likely play them in the middle of quite a congested time fixture wise for them as well when we will not be their priority.

FFS Syders can you really not see the difference between galavanting around Europe midweek against playing an FA Cup home fixture at the weekend?? And they wouldn't have been disheartened had they lost on pens, they are not schoolboys.

Liverpool already behind at Brighton. That result against us really was a freak one wasn’t it. Incredible how they somehow always beat us no matter what. 

Also shows that spurs haven’t proven they’ve turned a corner yet after that draw and then winning a complete dead rubber against athletico. Maybe they will have if they win tomorrow but that’s far more of an acid test.

The FA Cup is a stand alone weekend game while Europe is two more midweek games with travel for one
I think winning breeds winning so unless you have injuries getting through to the next round is a good thing
The expectation is on Tottenham at home after the ‘triumph’ of only conceding 7 to A Madrid
If they don’t win all the Igor Out and panic will kick off again

Yep, it was the best case scenario for us really with them going all the way to pens. Could’ve only been bettered with an injury to a key player or two.

And the further they get in Europe, the more pressure there’ll be on the manager to pick stronger sides. Surely Forest fans won’t accept getting to the quarters/semis and playing the reserves?

Yep, totally agree. It's great news that they're through. At this stage of the season, it's at least two more games they have to squeeze in on a Thursday. Their better players won't get much rest.

Oh dear. It does include the Liverpool game as stated. Brentford was a cup game and therefore not relevant to league form. Not sure why you keep mentioning it. If it helps you to understand, the league is the only thing we can get relegated from and is the main thing being discussed on a relegation thread. But well done for spelling agenda correctly, good work.
