Sanction Free PL Predictions for 20th - 22nd March 2026. "Blasts" Heard. Along with a couple of "Oh, Shut Up!'s "
Premier League
Friday, 20 March 2026 20:00
A. F. C. Bournemouth v Manchester United
Venue: Dean Court
League Positions: 10 v 3
Current Forms: 17 v 31
The only real interest we have in this game is that the visitors' manager once played for us. Other than that, I fully expect Red Devils fans around the world to become even more entitled and obnoxiously insufferable.
Those of a certain vintage can wistfully recall that FA cup game between these 2 sides on the 7th of January 1984, when Brent crude was just under $30 a barrel (https://data.mongabay.com/commodities/p ... t-oil.html).
Prediction: Away Win.
Premier League
Saturday, 21 March 2026 12:30
Brighton & Hove Albion v Liverpool
Venue: Falmer Stadium
League Positions: 12 v 4
Current Forms: 30 v 33
Now, why couldn't THAT Liverpool have turned up last weekend? Against Spurs it seemed that spending a $200 billion war chest would still leave them lacking. However, a rousing Turkey roasting will be a big booster for them. Originally had this down as a draw, but I feel more likely now to be an:
Prediction: Away Win.
Premier League
Saturday, 21 March 2026 15:00
Fulham v Burnley
Venue: Craven Cottage
League Positions: 11 v 19
Current Forms: 14 v 7
One of these teams will be in the PL next season, the other not. See if you can guess which is which. Fulham are going, all guns blazin', for an extreme mid-table position, Burnley are just going, exit strategy at the ready - unlike some in the news. Door, arse; you know the rest:
Prediction: Home Win.
Premier League
Saturday, 21 March 2026 17:30
Everton v Chelsea
Venue: The Hill Dickinson Stadium
League Positions: 8 v 6
Current Forms: 21 v 9
Could Chelsea have even more humiliation heaped on them following their comedy punishment from the game's administrators?
Giving the West Midlands a swerve this time around, the rent boys are Lancashire bound. OK, OK, I've reported the fact that Everton are not actually in Lancashire but the authorities keep ignoring me. Much like many on here.
Moyes' Everton may just be the team to try a bit of humiliation. Both teams could end up soonly competing for a spot in the same European competition next season, and I doubt that it will be Champions League.
Prediction: Home Win.
Premier League
Saturday, 21 March 2026 20:00
Leeds United v Brentford
Venue: Elland Road
League Positions: 15 v 7
Current Forms: 18 v 14
Mathematically, we can still overtake Leeds. If you're rubbish at maths, look away now.
Leeds are tenacious at home and the home fans will, I feel, play a big part here. Brentford may just about stumble into next term's Conference League if the PL get a 5th CL place. Don't expect a cessation of hostilities, just a truce...for now:
Prediction: Draw.
Premier League
Sunday, 22 March 2026 12:00
Newcastle United v Sunderland
Venue: St James' Park
League Positions: 9 v 13
Current Forms: 18 v 11
Last game the Toon army will have wanted after Barcelona completely dismantled them on Wednesday. Not even being at home will be much help.
As for Sunderland, well they've already hit that magic 40 points mark and may have decided to ease back a bit from now on...except for this game. Not everything's so black & white in times of war:
Prediction: Away Win.
Premier League
Sunday, 22 March 2026 14:15
Aston Villa v West Ham United
Venue: Villa Park
League Positions: 5 v 18
Current Forms: 24 v 27
OK - those of a nervous disposition, seek comfort & solace from fraser's excellent thread on this game ( viewtopic.php?t=7450 ). Villa will be displaying zero restraint after their fine European victory.
Have we really got enough gas left in the tank to take all 3 points here? Will we need to strategically release the reserves? I certainly hope so in both cases. Will we take all 3 points? Well, there's every suggestion to believe we can, and if the team and manager believe we can, then so do I There! I've said it!:
Prediction: Away win.
Premier League
Sunday, 22 March 2026 14:15
Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
League Positions: 16 v 17
Current Forms: 15 v 21
Shame that this match is being played at the same time as our game. Wouldn't put it past both teams colluding to get the final whistle delayed until (well) after ours to gain the advantage of knowing what each need.
Will they out-trump each other to help maintain our flow of points? All that matters to us is that both teams drop points, and that can only happen with a:
Prediction: Draw

having a look at this cup final, it's like watching paint dry. it's tragic that these teams are apparently the best in the league

it’s a remarkably close division this season aside from two teams at either end. entertaining. Not the best season to have had a dreadful start but we’ve done the hardest bit and dragged ourselves back into it. But we need to step on now and go for six points from the next two games and a win in the FA cup

Bournemouth in 13th just 7 points of 5th... That's a lot of teams not going to the beach yet...

These are the kind of situations where managers like in Howe’s position do get sacked. Out of Europe, losing like that, going below Sunderland.
Board might see he’s taken them as far as he can.
Mental that Sunderland are 11 unbeaten in the league vs Newcastle.

Fucking hell. Sunderland score in the last minute to make it 2-1. This will give them a boost which might help them beat spurs and forest.
This is going to make for an interesting evening in Tyne and Wear.

seen some say the run in for them is easier but apart from the 2 homes games to Wolves and Burnley can’t see them getting much in the other games(including the Spurs game, another 6 pointer)so drop points at home to those 2 and that final day at the LS could be massive! Fingers crossed we have done enough by then.
Yea in short those 2 home games are very likely to define their fate and they are not gimmies by any means.

Brentford with their ‘superb away form’ haven’t done us any fucking favours against Leeds or Forest yet they always fucking show up against us don’t they. Still I think Leeds will see that as dropped points and a missed opportunity.
