Alonso would want real money and a budget to rebuild. Hence a non starter with our owner(s)
Fair comment on the wages. Although I'm not so sure he's mad to spend big all the time to do well as he was more than happy to manage at Bayern Leverkusen when it wasn't Real Madrid style spending. We know Sullivans tight as fuck though.

Don't ask you don't get in this world, if only to be laughed down the blower, the Club should at least try to get in contact with Alonso. But we aint that ambitious and forward thinking as a Club so of course they never would dream of trying. Best to just stick with Nuno..

I suppose the question now is whether he can show enough improvement by end of season to be the manager we think can get us back up or at least in play off contention?
First couple of games looked encouraging ( incl. Set piece conceding ) then he tinkers in midfield and we lose badly at Leeds and at home to, at that point, a struggling Brentford.
Then he brings in some youngsters in centre mid, switches Todibo to the right and we win a couple, draw 2 or 3 and lose to Arsenal away a bit meekly and Pool at home after he tinkers dropping Wilson after a few goals.
Kilman had been dropped after a run of poor games and he had brought Stavros back who had been ok alongside Todibo.
Stavros lets Watkins get across him and it causes an OG via deflection. Otherwise ok but Nuno tinkers and immediately drops Stavros. It was a game we were unlucky to lose.
Since that Villa game, IMO we’ve gone backwards again. The complete lack of squad options are a factor no doubt but he has also made a few pointless subs like in centre mid just to “freshen legs” when in fact those subs ( Soucek and Guido ) weaken us.
We are at least a CB and even another centre mid short. In reality its 2 CBs and 2 centre mid options of quality short and a goalkeeper too. Areola and Hermanson have real weaknesses but the latters will cost more goals so gets picked

I believe the stats say a switch at this stage means you more likely to go down no matter who you get in.

I'm not usually in favour of sacking managers but if we keep NES we're gannin doon, 100%.
There are no signs of him turning it around or even improving.
I'd rather we get rid and appoint almost anyone.
Has Noble got his coaching badges?
It's a gamble but it might work.
If there's no managerial change we're going straight down the toilet.

I'm doubting there's anyone out there that can do anything decent at this club, the rot has set in so deep

Gary O'Neill has got a job, just signed up at Strasbourg.

Gary O’Wall was interviewed by Sullivan. Suspect he will be next? Fits the Sullivan template, out of work, PL experience and more importantly does not have a backroom team to hire or will accept not bringing tyem onboard to save some pennies while Sully wastes the pounds elsewhere.

It's a caretaker role, he won't be there at the start of next season.

Always the same fucking bullshit - We signed Igor Julio on the last day of the summer transfer window because there was no money. Now Cresswell will be off somewhere else because he doesn't want to play Championship. Pinnock or someone else could've joined then but again they always leave their business until far too late because they have leveraged themselves up to the eyeballs with future TV revenues TWO whole years in advance.
Suddenly they pull £40m out of their arse for Pablo and Taty - both look like desperation signings as per usual.
Is this rumour about 90% of our turnover on wages true? It's got to be the worst return going and proves how abysmally badly the whole club is run. I think Villa was spending 90% of their turnover last season but at least they have a decent squad. What do we have? An utter disgrace

We deserve all we get by dragging our heels as other alternatives now go elsewhere when we had the chance to act sooner.

What a patronising response.
We don't have many options but thus knib Crackhead gas refused to give him a chance.
As he knows he could be proved wrong.
It's neglection of duty.
Maybe, but he wasn't going anywhere with Nuno. You prefer he stayed and see if Nuno gets sacked and then if the new manger likes him. Its a option. Playing more at Bristol I'd say for sure will help him. It's all down to game time really.

I do wonder if he's got alzheimers or something touching close to 77 now. Even for him he seems to be making worse and worse decisions these days. Maybe I'm being a bit kind there but he just seems to be having a mare at everything he decides now. New managers? Yep, fucked that up. New DoF? Yep, fucked that up. New players? Yep, fucked that up. Hook up with a beast of a transgender whilst tarting the Barnet up with Grecian 2000? Definitely fucked that up!
Maybe Gold was the brains.
Brains might be too strong a compliment but I definitely think he was a much better person than Sullivan to have a word with when needed!

Nah...he was as complicit as the two remaining dogs .

I look forward to him lighting up the Championship next season.
The Wurzels have a fully charged pocket rocket for the rest of their season ....
Manny .. I thought you had kissed the gunners daughter ?
As Al Pacino said in The Godfather Part 111...

Earthy gets an assist 18 minutes into his BC return
Finished 5-1
BC fans loving his return, say he's quucker and stronger.
Why has he been let go ?
whio are we left with ?
Another Crackhead idea.
He's on loan. He'll come back better. It's ok.
What if he was already OK and could have grlped.us stay up? We'll never know now.. Like tonight proves, we'll learn nothing from him doing well there again. If anything be more frustrated he aint helping our cause instead in either the League or a Cup run he's now enjoying with Bristol City. Thick as fuck management.

As i can't imagine Thomas Frank being around at Spurs for long. How about him to lead us either to safety or out of the Championship? I'm in.
