RIP
Joy and pain what a great track/anthem from back in the day...
I was bang into the soul / Jazz funk stuff when I was in my youth
I used to spend a fortune on us imports and also went to the clubs of the time watching the likes of Chris French and Steve Walsh on the decks.
Happy days and I keep meaning to organise a trip to one of the Caister soul reunions as they seem to be a lot of fun.

One of the sounds of the 80s in London if you were a soul boy. Lovely fragile voice that sat perfectly on the live band as everyone else was going loud electronic. Great memories.

Just heard this, gutted, absolute legend
Saw him a few times at Hammersmith
His talent never really got the recognition it deserved
Joy and Pain is a classic

Been meaning for a while to get some stuff from Maze. Any recommendations? Specific albums or a decent greatest hits.

Sad indeed - recall many warm summer evenings/nights just driving around Hertfordshire with Maze playing on the cassette machine.
