The reason for that is El-Nesyri is the archetypal, classic David Moyes wet dream of a signing. This is a bloke who seems to resent any striker that can possibly get you 20 goals a season.
He is as honest as the day is long and will do all the donkey work running the channels up front, largely on his own for most of the match.
He ain't a prolific goalscorer but will probably get you a goal every 3-4 games.
Perfect clay for old Gollum.

Yeah if that comes off I'm going to be interested to see how he gets on. As others have said we've been linked with him on multiple occasions and I've never been sure - he'll probably prove me wrong

He doesn't have one stand out asset. I suppose the biggest compliment I can give him is that he was prepared to join us, must be on some good dough. Fuck knows what happens when relegation is confirmed.
Hard to disagree with alot of that. Early days still. Looks a busy player and fairly intelligent. Dont look like he has a big enough presence to play the lone man up top. Cant see him scoring the goals to keep us up but would score alot in the championship if we went down but what are the chances he would stay around for that!?
From what I've seen, looks a better option as a 10, advance central midfielder or whatever you want to call it. Just think in the Prem, if playing up front, you need at least 1 outstanding attribute, if he was really quick he'd be fantastic, but he's definitely not that.
Yeah I think he'll be good in the Championship, surely given the fee, he stays around if we do go down? In fact, I think both the lads signed would be very good in the Championship.

My son being all engaged in tick tock.and such things has told my they are trying to get Tatty song going based on Lup up Fatty by Bad Manners.
About time we had a new player song, and that one does sound like it be good.

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
True LOL. He is younger and more mobile than anything in the way of a striker that we had since Arnie.More of a number 10

Yeah, I don't think using that as a barometer is a sensible thing to do.

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
We acquired him at a bargain price because Lazio is struggling financially. I joined their boat book group at the start of the season, and they thought they were going down. They were average at best against Roma

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
Sadly I agree 100% Massive when it comes to Summerville. Too lightweight and awful decision making. Holds onto the ball far too long and doesnt get his head up to see, let alone use, team mates in better positions. Holding onto the ball too long even impacts his effectiveness when he does get openings on goal. Takes the extra touch always and the chance fizzles out. Hes a very good championship player but yet to prove he can cut it in the PL. Like too many of our best 11

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
Same thing regarding Summerville stood out for me against QPR. You just don't get that amount of space and time in the Prem where Championship players stand off him, but in the Prem you're either pressured up close 1 on 1 or 2 men hounding you down. It was so clear the difference you get on the weekend and unfortunately for Summerville he's far too lightweight in the Prem to make any significant difference bar the odd goal or assist in a blue moon.
Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
He puts in effort. Thats about it so far. Took his header well but wont get that space in the PL.
Takes 10 or so games, sometimes longer to know if a player is going to be a real asset or just “ok”. He wont make the difference between relegation and survival thats for sure.

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
We needed (need) help at both ends of the pitch. We were way short up front (and still are on the left flank) and way short at centre back. Fixing both was or is paramount. We may well stem the goals if Todibo gets a good CB partner. I think he'd work well with a big bruiser type. A Dunk or Tarkovsky. Doesn't even have to be a particularly skilled or cultured player. Just a big nasty fucker who is going to shout at everyone and needle the opposition. You know- exactly what Kilman should and could be.

Haha yea! Maybe proved wrong. The thing is had he played more I think we'd be closer to Forest. Personally think Nuno had been a disaster.
it seemed clear to me that we are weakest at centre back, yet we've spent 50 mil on 2 untried, in the Premier league at least, forwards. We got a few goals but couldn't defend our leads.
