Yep, that and the continuation of playing shit v the 'lesser' teams.

Kronic
Bilic himself was frustrated by our attitude after we scored as though we were shocked to be ahead.
Was happier in the second half.
We even do this at home over the last few years ... start well and score while we are all over someone.
And then change the way we play and let them back in.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Just wish Fletcher had put a bit of lift on his shot. He done magnificently well to create the chance and De Gea was almost on the floor when he hit it. Just think if he'd hit it with lift it would have gone up into the goal rather than hit De Gea's legs.

But overall great point. We can definitely take some confidence and hope from the last two games where, if the gods had been shining, we would have six points!! But there you go.

I thought Slav was going all Allardyce on us first half - get the early goal, sit back with one outlet, and wait for the inevitable equaliser.
Much, much better second half and I'd like to apologise to the sexy fucker for temporarily comparing him to that useless fat slob.

Steady now lad, you know you are tempting fate with that sort of optimism. ;-)

As an old pessimistic, grumpy old git, I expect the worst. A kind of defence mechanism. That said, they have Pogba and "Hair Bear" Fellani out and hopefully Fernandes will get a run and give us some fresh legs in midfield. We have a chance for sure.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Made some great saves but Randolph should have come out and put Ibra's head in the opposing penalty area.
Collins was lost too easily a few times and luckily Reid is back for Wednesday.

Last three visits now, three draws. I'll take that up there.

I really fancy us on Wednesday.

just catching up with the weekend football

WTF was Randolf doing for their goal? Did he think the ball was going wide?? He actually moved his hand away from the ball

More than likely the defenders in the 6 yard box would have cleared it...

This one is for the point we threw away last week.

Excellent point away to the Mancs.

He was always going to shoot I know, but if only Fletcher had've squared that ball across goal int he last minute. There were two WHU players unmarked.

Thats what we often forget. Ok teams like Southampton with their uniquely successful youth development system (something many clubs are now trying to copy) buck the trend as do teams like Bournemouth but only for a while. Over time the teams that spend the most dominate and these teams like Bournemouth will ultimately sink again. Swansea are suffering now after being heralded as a team that can sustain a top half position with their football. Their crowd size, levels of investment year on year will always leave them vulnerable to relegation. We are also not investing enough in players and not wisely and our best chance of success with our current owners is a cup or a freak Leicester type year to make the top 4. But at this stage, we are still not certain of staying in the top flight and our owners have to realise their spending on transfers will need to be increased and spent more wisely to really establish us as a top half of the table team. We also need to continue the investment in younger players with sell on value. I hate to say it but the Spurs model and levels of investment they made over the last 5 - 10 years. You get some duds along the way but they also brought in quality and players with sell on value to gradually increase the depth and strength. They are like a young couple who continually buy and sell houses at a profit whereas we have been fixing the roof and adding extensions (ok bad analogy but thats how I see it).

Anyway, good result in the circumstances and some promise with the likes of Ayew looking stronger and fitter, Payet more involved and working, Sakho (albeit now injured) and the ever impressive Obiang, good keeper performance.

Old Ginge struggled with a couple of rickets but that should hopefully see him ok for a few games now as he has a history of rickets every 5 - 10 games followed by a period of rock solid defending (hopefully).

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Good point

Thought Obiang was superb again and Randolph made some great saves

Not sure if the formation of a 4 then a two behind Sakho works that well. Id rather deploy Payet as part of a front two with license to roam and get our wing backs higher up the pitch when we have the ball

Cracking and well deserved point.

Looked much better the past 2 weeks.

Thought Kouyate was superb yesterday, didnt put a food wrong.

Shame Ash couldnt stick that one in at the end but we need to build on this point now.

Big game on Weds.

COYI!!

ManU team...about 600millionquid fees

West Ham...less than 100millionquid...

Mourinho 15million a year...

Bilic 2million...

Well done West Ham...

Got to be happy with the point, we rode our luck though, was funny seeing Jose get his marching orders but no way Pogba should have been booked.

And Collins WTF! mind you his whole career is littered with clangers like that, giving the ball away unnecessarily so close to goal, its about the only time you do want him to hoof it.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread
A well earned point, but the reality is we still look miles away from where we were last season. We struggle to create anything and never really look like we are going to score..

Positive that we finished strongly and Ayew looked sharp.
