Completely agree with all the critique about Ayew...

Never rated him ...never in the 20 million category...

It confirms to me that Bilic is not a good judge of players when buying for us...

And I am sure Sullivan know this by now...

Sadly I make you right. I like our owners but based on their history am pretty certain they will never invest enough. Sullivan will not accept the risk of losing money that all the big clubs make and can afford. The Ayew investment will harden that view.

Expect loans and Bosmans for the majority of our dealings under their ownership and their children who will take over in the next 15 years.

Set your expectations at staying in the top flight and maybe a cup run (not a win) even with 60000 fans each week. I am resigned to nothing changing in my lifetime sadly when it comes to West Ham. A B League Premiership club is what we have always been :-(

Last season we broke at pace. It was commented upon as key to some impressive results. This year, it's like we're on mogadon or something.
Excuses or not, Payet seems disinterested and one of the key elements of that pace based break, Cresswell, is, for one reason or another, invisible to Payet.
We are carrying the midfield and patching up a makeshift defence.
The Dildo Daves and Bilic need to see this and sort it out. But we will still see freebies and nonentities - if anyone at all - joining in January.

So many other teams really press the opposition when they don't have the ball, whereas we just stand around watching them pass and run through our midfield and down the flanks, particularly the right. Liverpool and Spurs do this to great effect. We simply don't have a clue.

The two games Sahko played in were hardly dynamic attacking games though were they?

Got to get forward quicker our build up is far too slow.

How we have missed Sakho. If we sign a striker it should be one that plays like him. Not the injured bit.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
A new striker won't make a difference?

You mean like in the 2 games that Sakho played in?

Mostly, you are only as good as your strikers. Yesterday was a prime example, we dominated them from 30 minutes on, but just couldn't score.

The critique of Ayew is rather silly. If our system doesn't fit him, then change it!

A new striker that runs the channels will help that

Picked this up from youtube and it's absolutely spot on:

"We are shit because we are far to slow in the build up. A better (new) striker will struggle just like the others have done unless we get in attacking positions quicker before opposing teams get 6 or 7 players back in the box. Leicesters goal was quality because they broke quickly. A new striker will make no difference unless we get forward much quicker and not keep playing sideways."

Yesterday was probably one of our better performances of the season but the fact we lost really confirms we still have plenty of problems that if not address we still see us in a relegation battle.

If we do have a game plan it seems to be one that the players either or not good enough or unwilling to stick to that I think we would look better and have far more success if we did play to the strengths of the likes of Carroll and Antonio who obvious goal threats until we bring in better players.

Reid yesterday was outstanding and should be captain now especially as Noble simply doesn't justify a place in the side on current form despite some on here unwillingness to admit this, in the current set up Noble's presence just slows us down immensely and creates problems for others, the defence because of his unwillingness to turn and carry a ball forward when receiving it from the back line (something Lanzini instantly did when he came on) instead he just simply passes it back it to them which puts them under pressure and going forward his inability to move the ball quickly means runs are being missed, credit to the Noble that he doesn't hide but with better players available in his position he should be now rested and Reid given the captaincy.

Yes the points haul over the last few games has been impressive but for me the performances still say to me we will struggle and if we are in the relegation mix going into the last few games I certainly don't fancy the character of this side to survive.

The club both on and off the pitch seemed to have an air of complacency over the summer and felt improvement in the first XI wasn't necessary, sadly we have seen throughout football history that when personnel get comfortable and don't feel they can be replaced that usually is a massive ingredient in a decline of a football team.

Have said before we just look disjointed all over the place.
Round pegs in square holes, some players not putting in a shift and our play doesn't flow at all.
Lack pace and movement and struggle to pass the ball to each other.
Its all built around Payet and he seems to be phoning in most of his performances this season as though he has his bags packed in the hallway.

Agree there could be a big clean out in the summer.
We cant rely on Carroll or Sahko , Noble is on the fade, Payet has had enough and his mate Ayew is an overpriced misfit.

Agree with Sven - as a unit we look like we're well passed our sell-by date. Time for a clear-out and major over-hall starting right now.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Fernandes will be a player and Fletcher may make it but the rest have been worse than useless.
Ayew is a decent player but doesn't seem to fit in our team whatsoever.
I think he will join the rest of them out the door next summer as well.
Along with Payet.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Yesterday pretty much summed the season up

Basically every single player we bought in the summer including the two youngsters is fucking useless
If you buy 7 players to replace outgoing players 5 of which are meant improve the first team and every single one of them is crap your never going to have a good season

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
If we really did pay £20m for Ayew then Bilic is an unbelievably poor judge of a player.

There is considerable evidence that this is true btw...

Percy Dalton 11:35 Sun Jan 1
Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
What could they have possibly seen in Ayew especially as Swansea had him on a free.
Good thing is that he will be off to the African cup or whatever it's called.

Ayew at £20m is an unbelievable waste of money

Yes, you could see what Feghouli was trying to do, the headless chicken was getting the ball, swivelling, and either knocking it into a blind alley without looking up, or running at gem and losing the ball every time.

As for us getting better when Noble come off, that's because Lanzini is a better player granted, but he wasn't the problem, Kouyate was disgustingly bad, he was a disgrace, yet avoids criticism because he hides, therefore people don't pick up on it, Noble NEVER hides, therefore takes the brunt instead because he at least tries to get us going, unlike that lanky cunt.

Half way through the PL programme and with nine games lost it is already more than last season. Let's hope that we don't lose nine more.

Surprised how light the criticism has been of Ayew.

Is it just me or do others think this bloke is a fucking irritating?

Bellows orders, argues with Billic yet is lazy and offers nothing much of the time.
