I don't post on here much, a bit like N.SOLD because of all the crap posted but, one thing about yesterday showed Bilic in time has got to go.
Seeing SSN at lunchtime and the interview by Patrick Davidson after the Newcastle game and Benitez's comment's I thought.
Hang on, if we lose to Southhampton and Newcastle what odds will the two Muppets get rid of Bilic and bring Benitez here??
Just an opinion

And there 2 midfielders on the bench, Carrick and Herrera, start and stay in our 1st 11

Playing 3 Central halfs wouldn't have helped much when 2 of them were shit yesterday .

Was always going to be difficult yesterday, Morinho hasn't lost a home game EVER on a Sunday in 114 games!

We were pants

Why was Arthur marking Lukaku, pathetic.

Why the fuck did Chelsea sell Matić!

We definitely ain't the last team to take it analy at Old Trafford this season, but we still could have tried ffs.

Of the injuries that keep being spouted, this comprises mainly of Lanzini, Antonio, Carroll and Kouyate. We lost 3 players but our debutants mostly filled those gaps and just forget Carroll.

We had the new signings there to plug those injuries and it those injuries are key to us then we do not have the cover we think we have.

We took the biggest beating of all the teams and even the new teams set out their stall to fight for their games. Look at how Burnley fought against Chelsea!!

For me we clearly weren't prepared and our pace is really worrying, that's pace at the back and in our passing, we seem too slow for the pace of the Prem.

If we get Carvalho then I think we have at least a chance of strengthening the gap between defence and midfield but we do need a faster defence than we have, their reflexes were missing in that game. Maybe Zabi is on his last legs.

"The first game being disoriented is just bollocks, and you know that. Why wasn't Burnley or Many for that sake disoriented? Well, the problem is we have looked disoriented for quite some time now. That my biggest concern!
"

Chelsea were and they are champions.
Thats my point. You can never read too much into the first game of a season.

The issue will be how Bilic adapts over the next 4 weeks.

My biggest concern is that we have all away games.
So its kind of hard initially. But in some ways I'd rather lose / draw away and work out our style of play than have that happen at home.

I feel like mentally. most teams in the league that go 1 or 2 down to a side with that much talent will just switch off anyway. Its human nature, you just cant see a way of winning. They were so well drilled we had like 1 clear shot.

And then when we tried to put more players up at set pieces we got hit on the break by some of the fastest players in the league. Who arent too bad at shooting either.

I dont think people understand how good players like Lukaku, Martial, Mikhtarian, Mata, Matic, Pogba are.. they are immense.

Utd had 6 shots and scored 4 goals. Look at it that way. We restricted them to 6 shots on target but they are that good that they can score 70% of their chances.

Think of it like west ham went to the Bernebau and held out for 35 mins and then mentally collapsed in the second half. That will make u feel better about it all.

Don't get your hopes up. the game was over when he came on. manure simply dropped off. In a proper competitive match, I suspect rice will be found out like Fernandes. Obviously, I hope I am wrong!

Just seen the following stats for Declan Rice...

23 passes and 22 completed (96%), 2 accurate long balls, 2 interceptions and not one dispossession. He was only on for 30 minutes!

This boy is still only 18 and supposed to be a CB playing in midfield yet out performed Noble and Fernandes.

Put the lad in with this Carvalho as DM's and our defense and control of games will improve 100%. Or will he get the chance...?

I sure hope you're right, and I will gladly look like a knicker wetter after the soon match.

The first game being disoriented is just bollocks, and you know that. Why wasn't Burnley or Many for that sake disoriented? Well, the problem is we have looked disoriented for quite some time now. That my biggest concern!

And being looked like shit will never have a positive affect. It never has, and it never will. At this level, the top form is reached with confidence. Where is our going?

We were set up wrongly, but even so. We played very poorly in possession. It's about move, pass and move. Something we clearly are shit at.

Fingers crossed my knickers get dried up next week

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
So we got battered by a much better team and are rock bottom of the league with no home games for a month.

The thing is I predicted we'd get beaten with only 2 CB's against Man Utd. And Man Citeh. We have not hit the ground running once under Bilic have we?

Man Utd were sharper in every respect. Better organised and more determined in 50/50's. To get any form of result against a Man Utd that has played 3 senior games around the world already teams need to be much better prepared.

Yes we will get better. Maybe we'll go to 3 CB's again so why did Bilic change last season's formation? It is popular in the PL where Chelsea & Man Citeh play that way so hardly revolutionary as it was millions of years ago when 'Arry was manager.

I've looked forward to this match and am very disappointed in the way Bilic 'organises' his team. It's a shame because he will not get his contract renewed this way and we'll need to start all over again...

In his first season we got good results against the top 10 teams and poor results against the bottom. We were por and Man U looked very good. Lets hope the entire management team respond in the right way to this debacle.

I'm not panicking too much. Man Utd should beat us at Old Trafford. And I know we miss Lanzini and Antonio massively.

However, I'm getting a bit sick of playing the 'big' teams, and us looking completely inferior in every single way.
Slav, at the moment, has us looking as hopeless against the top teams as we have for a long time.
We almost look as if he writes them off.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
it's about the manager's intent going in to the game with nine defenders and two keepers from a squad of eighteen. if we'd ground out a 1-0 you could possibly say it worked but we still got battered 4-0. there was no reason why he couldn't have included some younger creative players or an extra striker. sent out all the wrong signals and once we were one down, it was game over. I've stuck up for Bilic, especially on the OUT thread but he has to change his mentality and quick

Keep dreaming

You have to calm down because if we win our next game you'll look like a stupid knicker wetter!

It's too early to say whether the poor form from last season is carrying on into this season. It's impossible to rate ourselves against a Man Utd or a Man City. They are clubs that are built to compete against the best in the world, the Madrids, the Bayerns and Barca's. You wouldn't expect us to play well against Real Madrid so why do you expect us to play well against Man Utd? It doesn't make sense.

Plus, the first game is disorientating and strange for lots of players, always is. We beat arsenal the first game of the season two years ago yet they ended up 2nd and we 7th. The first game really doesn't mean that much.

In fact, being made to look shit will probably have a positive effect as players realise straight away that we have to concentrate for the full,90 etc,..

I'd be a bit more worried if we hit spanked 4 nil by Southampton or Swansea rather than Man Utd. It's really not that deep.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
When we get Cresswell, Antonio and Kayoute back we will be a different side, but at the very least Masuako & Ayew can’t start, there not good enough. Arnautovic looked good and full of running, Chicharito isn’t fit (why?) yet, and the defence won’t gel for a few weeks. I’m not overly concerned but if Billic doesn’t recognise & deal with our flaws then we may be in a for a very long season.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
One of the main concerns from yesterday (and there are quite a few), was the lack of options when we had the ball at the back. Our possession stats look half decent because we were just passing it between defenders. No movement in midfield or up top, nobody showing for the ball.
Against Mata, Matic and Pogba our midfield was always going to struggle and they will make most teams look poor this season.

As others have said, Rice looked good when he came on but the game had gone by then so it's not a true comparison. I would like to see him start against a less formidable opposition and see how he does.

And Ayew is a totally useless cunt, not seen such a poor performance from a player in a long long time.

Need a better performance next week or it's going to be a fucking long season.

Now off to work to be faced by some glory hunting plastic mancs...cunts.

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
I forgot to mention Rice too. Looked very assured when he came on and not afraid to get on the ball. Goes ahead of Fernandes for the Soton game. Play a midfield 3 of him Obiang and Noble

Also Matic and Pogba were immense, played like it was their 2nd or 3rd season together. Cant believe Chelsea let Matic go

Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-0
Couple of things stood our for me:

1. We put in a shift like that against Newcastle, Huddersfield and Southampton well have 0 points and be bottom after 4 games.
2. Player for player and organisation they were way ahead of us.

Players wise we have to accept but no discernable plan is bad Mr Bilic .... more pressing and intensity please.

Matic ran the game.

3.i reckon Arnie taking free kicks is Bilic managing his ego, having done a terrible job taking them hopefully Bilic can share the taking around again.

4. Hart did ok, he's going to get a lot more practice.

5.hope we to go 2 up top when sakho is fit. Hope that he and Hernandez could do well.
