Top buzz, mate.

All they had to enjoy was a promising three minutes from the kick off, and three minutes between their goal and the equaliser. Other than that, all they had was a lesson in football.

Agree Pellegrini doing a superb job in some style. But players punching above their own weight - nonsense. I give you Andersen, Arnie, Rice, Diop, Balbuena, Fabianski. These are top, top players and you'd better believe it!

Who gives a fuck what Southampton fans think?! They're a fucking nonentity cunt football club.

If they folded as a football club then no-one would really give a shit.

His "lack of tracking back" keeps oppo full backs pinned in their own half.

Lily Hammer 5.45.

It was even better coming out afterwards from the ground singing that song and straight into their supporters. Just for once they had lost their arrogance towards us.

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
That was the first away match I’ve been to since getting dicked 4-1 by Man U in the league cup. Needless to say, this was a much better experience.

I wanted a reaction after Watford, and apart from the first three minutes, when saints carved three dangerous chances, we were bloody excellent, overall. Apart from couple of little mistakes by a few, including two of our best on the night, we were really impressive, yet again.

Pellegrini has worked wonders, considering the toxic mess he walked into when he first arrived, and latterly considering the length of the injury list.

The away mob were immense. When we went 1-0 down, we did not for one second doubt the players. And when the saints went 2-1 down, it was the dog’s bollocks to be in that number.

There’s a lot of belief on and off the pitch, and how good does that feel?

Bring on Burnley and 2019.

Couldn't have put it better. I'm thoroughly impressed with pellegrini. The Southampton fixture is one we would have lost under our last several managers, but he has these players punching above their weight.

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
I took a peek on Saintsweb (and have done so since our Championship days when they were very arrogant towards us) and it seems that many thought that they should have had a penalty as Rice ‘Rugby tackled’ their player in the area before we scored our second and that Carroll should have been ‘sent off within a minute of coming on.’ They conveniently didn’t mention Redmond’s handball when pushing the ball over the line to score their goal.

Many Southampton fans still have an overinflated sense of their team’s importance, but quite a few acknowledged that we were the better team and deserved our win.

Onwards and upwards.

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
In my opinion he did. You could tell it a mile off in interviews. He thought he was the bollocks and had ‘made it’. He thought he didn’t have to try any more.

I reckon he’d say the same himself if he was completely honest.

Antonio never had an inflated ego you are just making things up, he never handled his injuries well he admitted to it.

It was fairly obvious to anyone with any eyeballs...sense and knowledge of football thatAnderson has excellent technical skills and a good shot on him with either foot
It's obvious that the Prem is a completely different League to the Italian League and he needed time to assimilate
Well done Anderson Well Done Pellegrini...
On current form and delivery a bargain at 40 million...
One of the best technical players in the Prem...

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
Were you watching him last night 64? He was chasing even 40/60 balls risking injury, he gave the ball away at one point but chased down their midfield like a man possessed causing them to give us back possession. I know he looked lightweight earlier in the season but not now.

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
I think the class of Pellegrini is starting to shine through now. We have a plan in place when we walk onto the pitch, it’s clear that we’re actually doing productive work on the training ground and he’s installed a swagger, a confident arrogance and a winning mentality that we’ve been craving for years,

I’d had enough of Anderson, Antonio and Chicharito a couple of months ago but they now all look on board and willing to play for the manager. Anderson is showing his obvious class, Antonio has lost his inflated ego and Chicharito is doing what we know he can.

A great manager also improves players and Pellegrini has definitely managed that with Snodgrass - although Snodgrass himself must take a lot of credit too, obviously.

We will have poor spells of course but the football is decent, the work rate is there and it’s enjoyable being a Hammer again. That’s all most of us ever wanted. Long may it continue ⚒
