Still can't get over how bad Durham bumper's miss was

Nonsense. Just before his injury he was playing well. Just a shame he picked up a muscle injury just as he'd got back in the team and fit.

Chica was top notch when at Man United. That was many years ago and he's much slower now and we got third hand goods, bang average these days unless you put it on a plate, but do crack on.

Disagree that Hernandez isn't good enough, he's one of the best finishers in the league.

Free agent in the summer.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Hernandez is good enough in the right situation, ie when the game is open and he has space to run into.

That said, i wouldn't have a problem with him being sold, providing there is a replacement lined up. Same as Perez.

No one would sign Carroll, as be is a free agent in the agent.

Part of me thinks no need to worry too muxh, we're not going down. But, as someone mentioned the other day, we have to be careful we dont rest on laurels too much, and give the idea that we're making do with the squad. Otherwise, you'll end up with Anderson and Co wanting to fuck off to a bigger team.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Carroll, Perez and Hernandez are not good enough, should all be sold. We need a couple of young fast top strikers in. We have no cutting edge. As said we play differently with Carroll a target man, we need to leave him until the last 20 mins at best.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Also, if Carroll sticks that sitter away, its q difderent game. Bournamouth would have had to open uo, could of then brought on Hernandez to exploit the space..

Bournemouth were there for the taking.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Our general play was fine. We just had no cutting edge. We was trying to attack through the middle, to do that you need a mobile striker, its a ahame we dont have one on our books.

Oh hold on.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Like a lot of Premier League games between the middle group it comes down to two or three incidents and taking your chances.
We didn’t take ours
We are a work in progress and need to be somewhere closer to full strength ... plus about 6 more quality players.

Team talk for the home team must be easy.

"Just make a bit of effort against West Ham and the points are guaranteed"

Anyone offer a reason why Carroll had the audacity to complain about being hooked ?

Spend £300 mill and we could break into the top six soon.

I thought the same as you 1964 but one of the slow-mo angles shows Carroll actually managed to put it over the bar without their keeper touching it!

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
1964 he spooned it over the keeper couldn't reach it was so high over the bar

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 2-0
When I first saw that Caroll chance I thought the keeper had saved it with his foot to divert it over. I'm stll not sure.

Losing 4-1 or not if we can't beat Wombledon then we are incompetant.

As poor as we were on the day, anyone who didn't break into spontaneous laughter whenever Carroll broke into a gallop, must be dead inside.

Capitol man. He did put it over the keeper to he fair.
