Klinsman was a famous diver when he arrived in England, but he got so much shit for it that he soon cut it out of his game and arguably became better and played his best stuff thereafter.
Gonzo made a good point on his last Hammers Chat video that continually diving may win free kicks, and sometimes these will lead to goals, but overall it is a bad energy that kills momentum and takes away from a winning mentality; that Villa would be more consistent if they concentrated on staying on their feet and positively go for wins rather than looking to dive.

Manuel - Just because Klinsman was an arch diver doesn't make it right. Besides, Franny Lee was at it when Klinsman was in nappies, and I hated him then for it and hate Grealish now, so it's nothing new for English players.
The main problem is that refs are utterly stupid and only pull divers up for it when they do it in the box.

fraser - No one likes seeing players dive, end of. But to go completely ott like you have is, well, just ott, not everyone is a saint like yourself.
Klinsmann was diving around 30 years ago, it's been in the game since then. Hopefully Smith and Southgate will be having words in his shell like to cut it out. He's a superb player and doesn't need to do it, but he's not the devil himself. Let's see if the lad reigns it in after it's now being highlighted.

Alfs - he did and it definitely effected him, he made sure he could see him doing it so new exactly what he was doing. I hope he gets a good run out against the Manc’s, he might be exactly what we need.

Manuel - Yep that's exactly what I said, I gave it as an example as to why I rarely watch England because I can't stand most of the team on a weekly basis, so can't be arsed to watch England and care.

Did anyone else notice Benrahma signalling to Fab that Watkins would go to his right? Watkins clocked that, changed his mind at the last minute and missed.
That's my theory anyway.

Seeing as he's prepared to criticise Grealish for cheating I'd say he's a fair minded individual. I'd take the same stance if Grealish played for us.

Fo - I think you'll find most people are referring to last season's tables, hence "at the start of the season". So, of the 13 points we have dropped this season, only 3 were against a bottom half side - Newcastle. The other 10 were against top half sides - Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and City.

Despite the talk of our nightmare run of fixtures at the start of the season, as it's turned out, we have played the same amount of teams from the top half as the bottom.
We've also taken significantly more points off the top half sides.
