Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much.

Breaking Bad, Homeland done

Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?

Swiss,

I would have thought an esteemed film student such as yourself wouldn't make such a hack argument. The last transformers movie made over a billion worldwide. Box office success in no way guarantees a movie is any good, or visa versa

Totally agree about The North Water. Not only grim but factually accurate too. Those whalers were virtually psychos, as were practically any British sailors including the Royal Navy.

It's mind-blowing to think how hard a life they led.

TNW captures it brilliantly.

North Water on iplayer

Colin Farrell, Stephen Graham

It’s about whalers in the 1800s - it is bleak, grim and harrowing / but very good and beautifully shot

saw an ad for that today. I read the first book and thought the characters were a bit wooden, though the premise was interesting, but I'd be interested in seeing the series.

You seen any of it yet? Any good?

Yeah Da Vinci Code movie only grossed $224 million worldwide on it's weekend release. And sold sold 80 million copies as of 2009. Must be shit.

Dan Brown'sThe.Lost.Symbol is a good watch. First episode out. If you like Da Vinci Code stuff.

one of the worst written movie (and book) sagas of all time! let me guess do the spend all their time running and explaining the plot?

If you like your sci-Fi, Foundation has just begun on Apple TV. Could be epic. They’re evidently looking at making this an 8 series, 80 episode affair.

I think it's the supporting cast that are shit in Vigil. The claustrophobia thing isn't really convincing either is it?
