Like DBT, Isbell's albums are, for me, a tad up and down - great highs but a fair bit of filler.
Southeastern just takes a beautiful high road throughout though..

cough, just watched a couple of videos. she's great & it seems she writes her own stuff too so very talented, and I love the classy style of her (which is refreshing when you see many of these modern bird singers). also checked out a live video, and the voice is spot on, so she could really do well. just make sure he has her with a decent manager and that she keeps hold of the publishing on her songs
