Lord Napier - Hackney Eick
Looks like this is getting rebuilt and a makeover. If so will be one of the nearest pubs to the ground. If someone chucking a load of money at it then doubt it will be a spit and sawdust football boozer. Although another good option for pre and post match drinks.

The Lord Napier in its previous life was far from hipster.
The Lea Tavern was a good old fashioned boozer as well and would have been even nearer if it had survived the 'regeneration'.

Bar 90 is alright.

for anyone interested, next weekend is hackney WickED, which is a sort of open house event for loads of studios and businesses on hackney wick and fish island.

Tried a few bars in the area and they are ok to be fair despite being a bit hipster and a far cry from the likes of the Carpenters and the Builders.
