Wayne Rooney - Resigns from Derby
Did a decent job in an impossible situation. Spoke well anytime I heard him being interviewed.

Will get another job in management surely. Needs to keep himself "granny free" with all the spare time on his hands now.

He has got something about him to be honest. He was thrust into the limelight as a player at a very early age and was clearly a good player. As has been said, did well at Derby under very difficult circumstances. In fact he didn't just do well, he worked miracles motivating the squad.

One day, he will get a job with a big club in the PL. I would love it if he replaced Lampard. Ex England colleagues and all that.

Typical yid get rid of moyes for Rooney . You should hope the notoriously impatient conte doesn't get impatient .And he will .That's the beauty of it .

Really?
The unqualified bloke that got relegated from Championship in favour of a manager that got us a 6th & 7th in consecutive seasons?
Nice wind-up...

Wouldn’t mind Wazza here to replace Moyes.

With a bit of luck Lampard junior will be struggling at Everton before Christmas and be replaced by Rooney.

Alfs - That was Gazza, but I think you know that but just had too much weed. By the way, it was his mates brother who got killed, not his mate. Apart from that good post :-)

I changed my mind about him massively when I watched a documentary about his life. Saw his best friend get hit by a car when he was 8 or 9, who died in his arms.

A mystery benefactor paid the staff wages in May at a cost of £1.8 million but has since asked for their money back since the Chris Kirchner bid was finally shown up as bollocks.

I assumed it was Rooney and his resignation coincides with his request for the money back?

Re: Wayne Rooney - Resigns from Derby
Haven’t been following them so closely but hasn’t he done a pretty good job there in the past two seasons? Fought a good fight against an impossible 21 point deduction last season, didn’t finish bottom and they would have finished comfortably mid table.

Respect to him for not immediately demanding a top job and going player manager route in the championship. Grafted at DC United when he could have coasted. I’d have thought he was the last player that would go into management but good luck to him. Seems a decent bloke granny shagging aside.

I think it’s a shame. I thought he did a very decent thing in staying with them, particularly his comments when the Everton job came up.

Think he’s a decent bloke and Derby County are a decent and proper club and him sticking by them could have led to a good footballing thing.

I'd read about this on Rebecca Vardy's Instagram account.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But was he the first in his family to get not just one, but two degrees?

These are the things that matter to EVERYONE.

He can do what he wants, when he wants in life, off the back of earning a 6 figure salary for over a decade

That's 6 figures per week, I should add. Big boy stuff.
