Afternoon COFFEE,
Hargreaves is Canadian but speaks like an Irishman.
You never let me forget the capitals do you?
Happy new year, old lad.
Just where is BC?

Really worrying what happens to us if Reid goes. Watching JOB being tried out there is worrying,to me if we give Reid what Nolan earns then he stays then surely at the end of the season it's a no brainer tata Nolan

All this stuff about the first half. What happened with sides at the bottom of the table is that the come out the gates all guns blazing but the better ability and taking of chances tells in the end.

There were numerous games in the past where we were the same. Looked good for 60 then fell apart.

It's the normal stuff of the premiership.
------

Agree with that. People talk a lot of rubbish about formations. Formations don't stop teams from being able to string a few passes together, which was our problem in the first half. We simply couldn't keep possession.

Hull are desperate for points and came at us in the first half, working hard to close us down. It worked to an extent, but in the end we soaked up the pressure and their tippy tippy triangles. In the second half they were tired from their frenetic closing down and we could exploit it.

A lot of people are obviously embarrassed when we win 3-0 and desperately look about for something to moan about.

What has anyone seen in Morrison that leads them to believe that he can be part of a midfield that works for each other as a collective unit. To date it has not dawned on him that having a special talent is no good without the hard work that goes with it. In his current form he is exactly what is not needed.

Agreed, he spoke a lot of sense.

But where did he get that Irish accent from?

Re: West Ham v Hull - Official Match Thread 3-0 FT
I listened to what Owen Hargreaves was saying on our TV here in RSA.
He said that Nolan should be introduced purely as an impact player with 20mins to go.
Similar to Lampard.
Makes a lot of sense.
Once the system changed we were really good.
Anyone who thinks we don't need a top quality midfielder is deluded.
If Noble and Nolan are the answer.........
Amalfitano must start before either of them IMO.
One more chance for Morrison??
I may be in the minority and yes, he's an arsehole but, just maybe he could be the flair player we must have to compete in Europe if we get there.

I guess we should keep playing Nolan cos he shakes peoples hands. That's just peachy - I knew there was a reason why he was playing other than he is perhaps Fatty's illegitimate son (or you would certainly think so at this rate.)

If Europe is on then I guess I'm going over to the continent on holiday this year - that's the extent of it. This team is not going to Europe in any manner shape or form.

As bad as Noble was, the biggest difference was when Nolan dropped back, Downing went central and Valencia was up front rather than left wing.

I'd be amazed if anyone saw otherwise, it was that immediate a response..
