Holland trip to London
Dear WHUFC-Fans,

My mates and I would like to plan a trip from Maastricht to London to visit a West Ham match.

Do you recommend any payable and good ho(s)tels, and what is the cheapest method to visit your club? By boat, train or plane?

We're also looking for drinking a pint with some of you in a pub before and after a match.

What match do you recommend?

I like to hear from you soon! COYI

I was going to suggest City. Is usually a bit dearer but much more convenient. Plenty of accomodation in the docklands area, but it might be expensive.

You could do what w4 does, but use London City airport instead of London.

Can't be arsed to look up the fares for you, but a mate of mine recently did City-DUS and reckoned the cheapest fare was fairly cheap.

Don't know if you can fly into SAAAAAFEND (Southend).

You walk about 30 steps outside the airport and your at the train station.

Train connection from there would be quite straight forward.

A coach load of Dutch fans came to watch the Man City game the other week (well it was a Dutch reg. coach anyway).

That's all.

Hah- I do it it the other way around for work - I fly into Dusseldorf and then drive to Maastricht- thats into Heathrow which gets you the wrong side of lonndon.

Eurostar is a good option however the connections are tight

Ryanair into stansted is also and option- if you can handle Ryanair!

Re: Holland trip to London
Given they're travelling from Maastricht, which is right by the Belgian border, it makes little sense flying from Amsterdam - it's a good few hours on the train.

Best off to go direct to Brussels and then get the Eurostar.

Easyjet fly into Southend Airport from Amsterdam and it's cheap as chips, then a 45 odd train journey into Liverpool St.

They could take in the Vulcan Bomber while they are there as well

I think you can fly by Ryanair from Maastricht to Stansted. Leave my Arcelona will meet you there if you like.

Or you can drive to Calais and take the ferry or Eurotunnel.

Well, close to there anyway.

His solicitor should be asking for a lifting or at least a more logical restraining order.
