Fine, but
1) Football commentators are often not fluent in the language in question, so they fuck it up. In such cases, they'd be better of sticking with the English version. It's not Van Haal. It's not Van Khaal. It's more Van Schaaal, but don't bother if you're not Dutch.
2) Dropping a foreign word into an English sentence breaks up the rhythm of speech, plus it sounds daft and truly try-hard.

Unless you're English of course...cos then you pronounce it in the best and loudest English accent possible

I don't mind a doffing of the metaphorical cap to the proper pronunciation, because that shows just the right amount of respect and decorum while remaining within the confines of Brit cred.
Exaggerated pronunciation, which is what I think the OP is getting at, is as bad as a total hatchet job of foreign nuances. There used to be a newsreader on BBC World called Nisha Pillai, who would go out of her way to exaggerate the way she pronounced places in South Asia. Pakistan would become Paaaaaaarkeestaaaaaarn, Bangladesh would be Baaaarngladaaysh, and so on. Enough to reach for the remote.

There is a nice easy solution.
All broadcasters need to do is to substitute the words `a foreigner` for any such names and we won't have to listen to it any more.
In fact a large chunk of all news broadcasts could be cut out just by replacing all foreign news stories with the standard item, ` Today, something happened abroad. Shortly afterwards, a foreigner said this about it`.
Works for me?

It should be pronounced as if it was written Hoot in English.
