Anyone fancy a pie?
I’m having a chicken and mushroom pie with a thick crust followed by an apple pie with custard.

You?

I love a sausage and onion pie with a lattice topping.

Got one in the Lake District in Penrith and it was one of the greatest things I've ever tasted.

The finest pies available to humanity, we want them here and we want them now!

Inspired by this thread the other day yesterday I had, yes, you guessed it ratatouille!

Only kidding I had poor mans pie and mash, Fray Bentos steak and kidney with sweetcorn, peas, spinach, runner beans mixed in a potato mash.

I enjoyed it immensely

Pie is great

I feel duty-bound to report. My fish pie (not a pie) hugely loved. Made "for 8".ALLl eaten by 4! Ketchup involved! That's okay. Happy times.

My "sunday best" may involve a reverse. "Nicoise salad" but with mackerel. Protein, not comfortable stodge.

One thing I don’t miss about going football is having to wait 30 minutes for my balti pie to cool down enough to become edible

Re: Anyone fancy a pie?
The ultimate pie type doings is as nurse described perfectly is steak and kidney pudding(ox kidney) served simply with salted boiled potatoes and buttered sprouts.
A traditional English dish that can't be bettered.

Vexed besmirches me. I am, ergo, winning.

Bernie fires a missile. Most welcome! I have to understand rules of engagement, though. Not opening a tin for easy win.

Re: Anyone fancy a pie?
I’m not convinced.

Pies are a highly conservative matter and any kind of Mediterranean herb or Oriental spice just seems SARONG in a pie.
