Peter Kay

Doing a couple of shows for him this weekend. If you thought 32 trucks was a lot for one bloke and a guitar was a lot then one man and a microphone needs ten trucks of gear.
Probably watch it but seeing as I got him mixed up with paddy McGuinness it doesn’t bode well.

Manuel.
I wasnt offering an opinion on his character, just passing on something i heard a while back.
I actually think he's very good at what he does, i would pay to see him live.

Marty,
He doesn't qualify for the 'professional northerners' group as unlike the rest of them he actually still lives there. Unlike those who go on the most about the North- Parkinson, Gallagher, Bean, Cilla etc

Side
Like Tommy Cooper he has an interesting face, not a hint of malice in it, and looks completely innocent and harmless.
I did ask him "cheeky threesome?" as he got in the cab with the two old dears and he thumbed up.

In a couple of episodes of Phoenix nights there is a character called Keith Lard whio is a fire safety officer from the local council and storylines revolved around him being rumoured to have inappropriate relations with dogs. There was actually a fella working for Bolton Council in a very similar role with the same name bar one letter. Kay and the producers had to cough up a fair bit of dough when he lodged an offical complaint.

In my opinion, he is one of the best stand-ups for observational comedy out there.
Loved his take on Bullseye

Bumped into him directing traffic at the side road down the side of Euston Station so his taxi could get out, beckoned me over and asked me to take over, then gave a lift in the taxi to old ladies who were lost.
Funny bloke and came across as well grounded.

Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy are great. How anyone can claim he’s not funny. While Michael McIntyre steals a living doing the same thing is mind boggling.?

Hope he is oKAY (sorry) these days as he went quiet for a long time. As someone who is deaf the misheard lyrics sketch was particularly funny.

Re: Peter Kay

Phoenix Nights was his highlight for me, absolutely brilliant comedy series and as all good things it was quality over quantity with only 12 episodes.
His stand up was decent back in the day, but got boring when he kept referencing his Nan in the audience just because she called the internet the tinternet, some of the crowd found it funny, bit like Micky Flanagans Out Out line.
